Spencer Fox Terrier Bookends
1920’s
This 1920’s pair of Fox Terrier Bookends are are cold painted with nicely modeled fur. Produced by Spencer & Sons of Guilford, Conn. they are each marked on the backside. Spencer foundry was originally founded in 1851, the historic foundry building still stands, and the company finally ceased operation in 1982. This particular pair is flat backed with low detail relief on the front. The original paint ins primarily intact, and each bookend is 5.25 inches tall, approx. 5.5 inches long, and the base is 2.25 inches deep.
