(stainless steel pins) as small as .30 in diameter and .25 in length. This method of finishing was first introduced to the jewelry industry with tremendous success for processing precious metals.
Magnets embedded in a cast disc constantly change polarity, creating a centrifugal action in the media allowing your finisher to access recesses, channels, undercuts and other confined areas where other conventional methods/
medias
can’t. Soft non-ferrous metals can be burnished in as little as half an hour, ensuring quicker turnaround time and improved productivity. If your pieces have large, smooth or flat surfaces, the finish will appear frosted or have a satin-finish look.
A slight buffing or a run in a dry finisher (852-0746) will easily bring the finish to a high shine.
Direct-drive
, fan-cooled motor provides variable speed, forward/reverse function (except CMF-300) to change the direction of media flow and thus not allowing the stainless steel pins to clump in one area of the bowl.
Raytech Magnetic Finishers are built and engineered to the highest quality standards. The CMF-900 comes complete with a heavy-duty plastic bowl/cover and can accommodate a 100 ring capacity. This model requires 500 grams of 0.5mm stainless steel pins (852-1094) as well as Gesswein’s 44S Soap (852-1029) to keep your pins and parts running as clean as possible.
